Total Adventures has developed exciting new and exclusive activities to include in your next school camp program:
GIANT SWING
Participants can test and push their individual comfort zones whilst on this activity. Each group controls the time and the amount of energy required to power the activity, challenge by choice is a big concept for this activity. Participants are pulled to the top of a pole and when they are ready they let go to experience a 20 metre free fall drop and swing.
BUSH CHALLENGE
During this activity each team is faced with a number of challenges. They have to complete each one in order to move on to the next. Elements include building emergency shelters, suspending a billy can over a fireplace, constructing a stretcher from a tarpaulin and materials collected, bandaging an 'injured' participant and then transporting the 'patient' to a given destination. Through the Bush Challenge activity, each group will gain a feeling of camaraderie and encouragement, teamwork and idea sharing.
SEARCH & RESCUE
This activity is a simulation. A special services aircraft pilot has parachuted into unknown territory and needs rescuing. Participants use UHF radio contact with Search and Rescue Base to navigate into the search area. They then organise themselves into rescue teams, locating lost items of equipment and eventually the pilot himself. The teams then carry out basic first aid and evacuate the casualty to an extraction location!

Total Adventures Pty. Ltd is one of the largest outdoor education and adventure learning organisations in South East Queensland offering an extensive range of innovative, effective and quality educational programs for schools.
Total Adventures is distinguished from others, by their ability to present a range of locations and venues throughout South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales offering multi level programming for years 3 to 12 within the same school. This allows continuity of programming which becomes comprehensive and progressive, dispensing with activity repetition throughout various year levels. Total Adventures organises and facilitates over 300 school camps each year.
Total Adventures qualified instructors facilitate each activity to ensure participants gain confidence through teamwork, communication skills and goal accomplishment for each activity.
Camps rely on group cooperation while fostering a sense of interdependence as participants explore their attitude towards themselves and their peers. The camps provide students with the opportunity to develop teamwork, leadership and communication skills while exploring their own potential. Students become proactive in a number of different situations that involve trust, decision making and recognising the individual differences that make each of us unique.
