Canoeing

Canoeing is an activity that some could regard as not particularly challenging. The opposite is quite true. With two people in a canoe the emphasis is on teamwork, communication and quick decision making. Our canoe activity teaches basic strokes, handling, and safety, and is conducted on dams, lakes and placid river systems. Floatation devices (PFDs) are worn at all times.

Once paddling and maneuvering skills have been mastered, the group will be encouraged to extend their skills in a game of canoe volleyball or storm the galleon. The objective of our canoeing activity is to teach participants how to enjoy canoeing correctly and safely while having fun the Total Adventures way.

Rafting

Participants are first presented with a novelty scenario from which the need to build a raft arises. The group is then broken into smaller teams and using the materials provided, are encouraged to construct a raft.
